Now that is raining every day and getting quite cold outside we started focusing on the indoor activities for most of the day. These Montessori-inspired activities are ideal for toddlers to preschoolers and are perfect for learning and exploring.
Most days we would do an activity together. I always try to encourage individual play so I can get some housework done.
To organise these activities, I seek to plan ahead for a couple of days.
Most of the time I would have all materials that we need around the house, but if I don’t, I will buy them all in one trip.
I try to respect my child’s choices while guiding him and showing him how to do an activity with few to no words, so I give him the space to do it in his own way.
“Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed.” M Montessori
